Two of the president's closest advisers, Chief of Staff John Kelly and National Security Adviser John Bolton, got into an intense shouting match Thursday at the White House over migration policies.
The argument was fixated on a surge in border crossing. John Bolton reportedly criticized the performance of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen during the argument, and Kelly took exception.
The President, who sources say was present for the beginning of the accident and sided Bolton, later denied knowledge of it.
Earlier Thursday, Trump was fuming about the Hondurans, who are fleeing north from the poverty and violence, and threatened to completely shut down the border if the group wasn't stopped.
After this fight, aides whispered privately that one of the men might leave the White House given the deep disagreement over the border.
